Born in Arizona, Gabby was inspired at a young age by ocean pioneers, like Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Sylvia Earle. Since then, she has committed her life and career to protecting our world’s oceans. As a professional diver and marine biologist, her research expertise includes climate change, coral reefs, octopus behavior, watershed management, and conservation technology. Her commitment to ocean conservation has allowed her to live and work in the Pacific Northwest, the Caribbean, and Hawaii. She believes that conservation starts with a simple conversation. When she isn’t freelance writing and working on research, she’s teaching scuba diving, hiking through the desert of Arizona, or sharing ocean stories over a cold beer.
